SYNOPSIS:
Icarus at the Edge of Time—an orchestral work with narrator that tells a mesmerizing musical tale of space, time and a journey to the very edge of understanding—composed by Philip Glass, based on the book by Brian Greene, adapted by Greene and David Henry Hwang, film created and directed by Al + Al, performed at the premiere by the Orchestra of St. Luke’s with Conductor Brad Lubman, and narrated live by John Lithgow.

COMMISSION:
Commissioned and produced by World Science Festival (New York) and Southbank Centre (London) with the Royal Society. Co-commissioned by Associazione Festival dell Scienza, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Glasgow Concert Halls. Co-presented by Southbank Centre and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
